Trends for 2019

With the two royal weddings in 2018 of Megan Markle and Princess Eugenie found bridal fashion & designers inspired for 2019. New York Bridal Fashion Week runways showcased wedding gown designs created with modern high, boat and off the shoulder necklines using minimalist, clean fabrics. Pantsuits in lace and clean fabrics, and wedding dress separates also made a statement and were worn by the “who’s who” in the entertainment industry, leading brides-to-be all over the world excited for all these new amazing styles for 2019. The styles of 2018 with deep plunging necklines, low back details and sleeves are also prevalent for this year’s trends. Colours on gowns incorporated prints and embellishments in bold bright colours as well as black. These designs were carried over into the bridesmaids & evening wear collections. Bridesmaids designers have also designed dresses made from clean fabrics, such as crepe, satin and mikado featuring skirts with pockets, high modern necklines, off the shoulder and low backs. The pantone colour for 2019 wedding inspiration is “living coral" where pinks meet hues of coral and orange. It is bright, cheerful and full of energy. Style boards are lighting up with the pantone colour this year! Bridal parties are also loving palettes of neutrals, shades of blues, shades of greens while mixing it all up with a floral print or sequins. All these choices make for stunning bridal parties & photos that you will cherish for years to come!

Supporting our Community

"Here's the thing...I love giving back to my community so every year we host the Diva on a Dime event at the store. I move all of my dresses out so that we can move all the dresses donated by our community in! Why you might ask? Well it's simple there are so many girls and families in our community who cannot afford to go to prom or grad and we all know that no one should miss these milestones in life! I can't even begin to tell you the stories of girls who have purchased their dresses at this event! It's amazing!"

Diva on a Dime event is happening on Sunday, April 7th from 10 am to 2 pm located at Exchanging Vows Bridal Boutique, hosted by the Kinette Club of Collingwood. New dresses have been donated by Exchanging Vows Bridal Boutique and Elaine Dickinson's. Gently used semi formal; formal; anniversary; work; etc. have been donated by the Community. This is an excellent event for finding those graduation and prom dresses as well as other upcoming events. Pricing is by donation and all proceeds from this event go back into our community into various charities.
