Locally inspired and lathered in luxury, this styled shoot was set to show couples and brides that their wedding, even scaled down, could and would still be INCREDIBLE. Hosted by Kirsten Schollig of Captured by Kirsten and Victoria Ciampanchini of VC Events, this beautiful boutique elopement showcases how incredible an intimate setting can be, without sacrificing location, décor, florals, or any add-ons, like the fully styled bar cart paired with an outdoor dinner, dance floor, and reception,— without having to go anywhere or move anything during your day.
From the venue to the table decor, you can still bring YOUR vision to life in a BIG way, even if the guest list has to stay small.
The setting itself has a unique history, built in 1912 for the town doctor and onetime Mayor, Joseph Arthur, by renowned Toronto Architect Eden Smith. The old house has been reimagined with one goal: creating a memorable experience. Everything has been selected with care, including the beautiful photography, luxury linens, designer furniture, accessories, and handcrafted bath products, making it the perfect setting for a wedding lathered in laid-back luxury. From staying the night before to getting ready in a bright and open space to having your first look, ceremony, and intimate reception all on the same grounds — while also being centrally located downtown Collingwood, so your options for portraits are endless.
With a fall bohemian feel and a slight pop of colour, the shoot showcases how a couple can play up and personalize a black and white backdrop, such as the interior of the VanderMarck. Utilizing the red brick exterior and adding warm pops of colour in the florals and overall feel, it’s easy to elevate a blank slate venue into something timeless and tasteful.
