We met commuting from Barrie to Toronto on the GO Train. For the next month after our first meeting, we would purposefully run into each other on the train and began also running into each other at the gym.  Our dating life progressed quickly, I moved in with him around the same time we started dating. I was travelling all over Canada for work, bringing him with me when possible. With being over of the 4-hour commute to and from Toronto we started looking north for work, this brought us to Wasaga Beach nearly 5 years ago.

On Thanksgiving weekend, also my birthday weekend, we had a bunch of activities planned.  We went bike riding along the beach, to The Scandinavian Spa, had dinner with the family and it was 26 degrees and sunny! We went for one of our longer bike rides of the year through some of the trails behind our house, packed a picnic and had Copper, our dog with us. Sitting by the edge of the water on a huge sand dune, Collin got down on one knee and ask if he could make my day a little bit better.

Plan A Wedding? An island in Mexico, one of the Worlds top 10 dive sites, small resort, all our family and friends for 7 days in paradise. Plan B: Version 5 Wedding? Based on government restrictions, we married at the same site that Collin proposed and ate around our dining room table! We completely rearranged our house to accommodate 10 guests for the reception and created our own venue with string lights, florals, and a neon sign!

The day before our wedding, I felt relieved to have the support of my girls, Alex and Kirsten, and my mom. The day of our wedding, I had to finishing typing my vows (oops! Ha Ha) after that, I was SO anxious, I kept holding my breath and forgetting to breath, I was practically shaking, and it was not because of the freezing cold weather. This completely went away the second I saw Collin. My favorite part of the wedding day was seeing Collin for the first time and being able to have our dogs at the wedding! The day after our wedding, we took off on a little Mini-moon up north with both our boys (dogs - Copper & Stanley).
