Photography is something that could be said to have found Jess more than she it. As something that began as a personal outlet for expression has grown into a passion driven vocation. The privilege of being allowed into someone’s most intimate and significant moments is not lost on her. Nor is the ability to be a memory keeper for those moments. She loves weddings. The extremes of emotion and the stories within stories happening all day long are exciting and inspiring.
While understanding the beauty of a good portrait the thing she loves most is capturing those natural moments, the ones people don't even realize she has witnessed, the ones that will bring laughter or even tears for so long after the day itself is over. Every wedding is unique, just as every couple is unique. The images from the day should reflect that. Having been raised by artists Jess has learned to trust her intuition, she responds emotionally to the situation in front of her. This is apparent in her work. Her approach may be a little different, she would rather climb, scale or crawl to find the angle rather than set up equipment so don’t be surprised if you find her up a tree or laying in the grass. Her desire always, in event work, portraits and in her personal art, is that you feel something. This is the strength she brings to her work and what she brings to your wedding day.
